This is one of Shakespeare´s most famous tragedies-the story of Macbeth, a brave soldier in the army of Kin Duncan of Scotland. At first, Macbeth is loyal to the King. But, after his meeting with three witches who predict that he will become King, everything changes. Ambition corrupts Macbeth, and with the help of his scheming manipulative wife, he murders the King and anyone who stands in his way to the Scottish throne. However, as king, Macbeth become increasingly lonely and paranoid, imagining enemies in every corner. Can Macbeth keep his new position? How many more people will he murder to keep his place on the throne? |
